SUFFOLK, VA– What would happen if a custom closet company designed an entire house? Home buyers are getting a chance to find out, as they visit Closets Factory Hampton Roads “Treasure Chest – The Organization Home” in Suffolk, VA.
The house, sponsored by Closets Factory and built by Joey Corp., won the Tidewater Builders Association’s Fall Homearama Critics’ Choice best Home in Show gold awards. The Suffolk, Virginia Homearama is one of the local Parade of Homes marketing events.
Closets Factory Hampton Road’s winning 2011 Treasure Chest – The Organizational Home is a first of its kind house built around custom home organizational designs.
“Eight years ago when I first bought Closet Factory I would estimate 15% of our community knew our name,” says Closet Factory Hampton Roads president Jeff Bruzzesi. “Today itʼs a much different story. I think because home organization is so important in our daily lives not only do people respond to our message, they seek us out.”
The home features 26 organization solutions that can be crafted specifically for any home. Bruzzesi says research confirms the importance of organization as a key stress reducer. Americans feel the better their home is organized, the better they feel and the more time they can spend with family.
A video tour (below) shows designs from the Closet Factory custom organizers are found in the master and other closets, but youʼll also find their custom organization solutions in rooms like: the dining room china cabinet, breakfast room cupboard, mud room, sitting room in the master suite, master vanities, craft room, linen cabinet, theatre room, kitchen, laundry Center, plus some special custom organization surprises.
“People want to live smarter, more efficiently and that often means just being better organized,” says Bruzzesi. “That trend has lead us to design smarter storage for every room of peopleʼs homes. My hope is that by featuring thoughtful, well planned and practical storage solutions for the way people live through their entire home, we will provide greater insight how Closet Factory can improve the function of anyoneʼs home.”
Jack’s Muphy Bed – More room to play, more space to sleep
Inside the 2011 Treasure Chest – The Organizational Home you have probably seen Jack’s bedroom. As a young man, with a large imagination Jack needs room to play. But when it is time to get his rest Jack also loves a nice big bed to dream about flying to the moon, walking on the ocean floor, and fighting dragons to save the day.

As masters of organization and space planning it was a perfect match to give Jack a great Murphy Bed that can easily and safely be put away opening his room to its fullest while providing additional storage for Jack’s treasures. Closed Jack has total access to the full space in his bedroom. The richness of the wood blends perfectly with his walls and provides a custom organizers dream boy’s room. In fact, the saved space gives Jack some additional furniture he loves to use as a fort to read his comics and baseball cards.

Closet Factory has perfected the Murphy Bed/Wall Bed design, construction and installation so they are strong, safe and easily expandable pieces. The Murphy bed now gives a single room dual purpose and can be used with any custom Closet Factory design.
